We had a tremendous time at SCIF'2016! Thank you for all the kind customers that visited our booth. The support shown by our customers, has been overwhelming and the interests surrounding the Numismatic materials we provide has been very encouraging! The 3-days has been a great success for us!
The combined L1'Booth of Sincona AG, Zurich, Marcel Haberling Numismatik & Emporium-Antiquities.com was constantly busy and at times we felt really short handed.
Particular notable, for the second year in a row, Swiss Shooting medals were sold out and this year within just the 2nd day of the fair! More than 70+ pieces of the beautiful relief medals of both large and mid-small sizes were snapped up, with the need to replenish stock from personal collections on the 3rd day, from which around another 20+ pieces were sold!
Particular favourite of the general crowd (like last year) were the Swiss Silver Francs, Standing Helvetica - 2 Francs, 1 Francs & 1/2 Francs & the Alphine Herdsman (Wilhelm Tell) - 5 Francs.
This year, we have also 13 pieces of rare Hans Erni medals, and they were all snapped up within the 2nd day, as well as the private mint Chinese Tael Sycees we quickly gone by the third day.
With regards to modern pieces, we had the North Korean silver proof Crowns which was the really hot favourites! Left with just 2 pure 999 gold One oz pieces, we sold very well these North Korean modern rarities, to several collectors at the fair!
Finally, along with these desired pieces, in demand are the typically more well understood & appreciated, Straits silver dollar crowns, British Trade dollars, European Crowns, and Indochina cents & Piastres, Sun Yet-Sans, were well taken-up!
