In 1972 John Pinches co., the renowned London medallists, issued a "Royal Anniversary Medal" to commemorate the Silver Wedding of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, in 1952. This continues a traditional of issuing medallions for coronations and other important royal events.
- Description The certificate accompanying the medallion states "This medal is available only to John Pinches' collectors and is therefore one of the most exclusive ever issued.", and "It is minted with the traditional antique finish...".
- Obverse The obverse shows a conjoined profile portraits of the Queen and Prince Philip, with the inscription.

The engravers name CORNELL is engraved incuse on the truncation of the Queen's neck.
