This is a very rare vintage medal from the Japan's Women's Association awarded to the wives of wounded & widows of Imperial Japan military war sacrifices.
Reverse Design:- "A wreath of eight flowers surrounding a inter-crosses with a central design of a armoured samurai. This symbolises the spirit of 'Bushido' or 'the Way of the Warrior'. The "way" itself originates from the samurai moral values, most commonly stressing some combination of frugality, loyalty, martial arts mastery, and honor until death."
Obverse Design: - "Information inscriptions on the medal in Japanese Kanji of the significance of the medal. (Women's Association Issued, towards the wives of military men, remembering their sacrifice for the Imperial Japan War efforts."

Vintage: Approx. > 75-77+ years old.
Condition: Well-circulated with clear distinctive features still present and clear. Respectable condition, well within the rating of Very Fine+. Old Cleaning.
This is a great piece of Japanese WWII history which comes in a black display box (not the original). The design is simple yet elegant, and very attractive, with great historical significance. Looks better in hand!
