We have on offer here, a 1931 (a) Francaise Indochine, Lady Marianne One Silver Piastre. XF+/AUNC/Scarce Rare! This is a very beautiful & attractive design of Lady Marianne, French a one-year type. This coinage marks the last silver issue of the Indo-chine series of One Piastre-value coinage.
"This is the famous de-facto trade currency being used within the French Indochina colonies in Far East regions, minted out of Paris. The design is the maiden symbol of Lady Marianne from France. Over the years, especially during the world wars where its regions were heavily in participation, these crown size silvers was heavily sought & melted for its bullion. Hence, today only scarce number now remains available in the hands of collectors."
